To safeguard the rights of users and employees, protect and preserve library materials and facilities, and ensure a conducive environment for the library's proper operation, the following rules of conduct will be strictly enforced:

The IFRS library employs an “Open Shelf System,” allowing students, faculty, and other patrons to browse the shelves directly and select the books they wish to read or use. Books are organized according to the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) scheme.

B. For IFRS Students

  1. For new students, a library ID is issued after institutional orientation. Returning students must have IDs validated.
  2. Sign the logbook upon entering. Only students with validated library cards may use the facilities.
  3. Place books on the book trolley after use.
  4. Theses, major papers, dissertations, and reserved books must be read inside the library. Reserved books may be borrowed for overnight use one hour before closing or at 4:00 PM, and must be returned by 9:00 AM the next day.
  5. General collection books may be borrowed for one week and renewed if not in demand.
  6. Students may borrow up to three books at a time.
  7. Check books before borrowing. Report missing or damaged pages.
  8. Late returns incur fines: ₱5/day for general circulation; ₱5/hour for reserved books.
  9. Lost books must be reported. Replacement cost plus 10% processing fee applies.

  11. Silence must always be observed.
